General questions

How long do hyaluronic acid fillers last?

The duration of hyaluronic acid fillers varies between 6 and 18 months depending on the treated area and the product used. Factors such as metabolism, lifestyle and the treated zone influence durability.

When will I see the first results after an aesthetic treatment?

With hyaluronic acid fillers the results are visible immediately, and the final result can be seen after about 2 weeks. Botox® treatments show a first effect after 3–5 days and the full result after 10–14 days.

Is there downtime after an aesthetic treatment?

Most treatments require no or only minimal downtime. Slight redness or swelling can occur, which usually subsides within 24–48 hours. You can usually resume your normal activities straight after the treatment.

Which side effects can occur after aesthetic treatments?

Common, temporary side effects are slight swelling, redness or small bruises at the injection site. These normally subside within a few days. Serious side effects are very rare when the treatment is carried out correctly.

How many sessions are needed for aesthetic treatments?

The number of treatments needed depends on the desired result and the type of treatment. For some treatments one session is enough; for others several sessions at intervals of a few weeks may be recommended.

From what age can I start aesthetic treatments?

In principle, aesthetic treatments can be carried out from the age of 18. The ideal time, however, depends on individual factors and the treatment goal. A personal consultation helps determine the best time for treatment.

How do I prepare for a treatment at Alpha Skin?

Avoid blood-thinning medication (after consulting your doctor), alcohol and intense sun exposure for 1–2 weeks before the treatment. Come to the treatment without make-up. You will receive detailed preparation instructions when you make your appointment.

What do I need to pay attention to after an aesthetic treatment?

In the first 24 hours avoid intense physical activity, sauna, sunbeds and direct sun exposure. Do not touch the treated area and do not use strongly irritating cosmetic products. You will receive detailed aftercare instructions after the treatment.

Are the results natural?

Yes, our aim is to achieve natural, harmonious results that underline your natural beauty. We place great value on an aesthetic, balanced appearance that suits your facial structure.

How much does a treatment at Alpha Skin cost?

Costs vary depending on the type and scope of the treatment. After a personal consultation we will gladly prepare an individual quote for you. Contact us for a non-binding consultation.

Are the costs covered by health insurance?

Aesthetic treatments are generally self-pay services and are not covered by statutory health insurance. In individual cases, where there are medical reasons, partial coverage by private insurers may be possible.

How do I make an appointment?

You can book an appointment online via our website or contact us by phone or WhatsApp. We do our best to offer you a suitable appointment promptly.

Hip Dips & Butt Lift

Procedure, prices and appointments: Hip Dips & Butt Lift

What are hip dips and why do I have them?

Hip dips (also called violin deformity or hip indentations) are natural hollows on the outer side of the hip between the pelvic bone and the thigh bone. They result from individual bone and muscle structure and are genetically determined. Hip dips are not an abnormality and have nothing to do with weight or fitness – they cannot be completely eliminated by exercise or diets.

How are hip dips treated at Alpha Skin?

We correct hip dips with high-quality, highly cross-linked hyaluronic acid fillers developed specifically for the body. The filler is injected precisely into the hollows to create a harmonious hip silhouette. The result is visible immediately and the treatment takes about 90 minutes.

Is the hip dip treatment painful?

The treatment areas are locally anaesthetised beforehand, so the treatment is well tolerated. Most patients describe a slight feeling of pressure during the injection. In addition, the fillers used already contain an integrated anaesthetic (lidocaine), which makes the treatment more comfortable still.

How long does the result of hip dip correction last?

The result usually lasts 12 to 24 months, depending on your individual metabolism and lifestyle. With regular refresher treatments you can maintain the result permanently. For a refresher, less filler is usually needed than for the initial treatment.

What does the hip dip treatment cost at Alpha Skin?

Hip dip correction with hyaluronic acid filler starts from €899. The exact price depends on the filler volume needed and how pronounced the hip dips are. In a free consultation we analyse your individual situation and prepare a personal quote.

Can hip dip correction be combined with a butt lift?

Yes, in the same appointment we can carry out subtle buttock contouring (butt lift without surgery) as well as filling the hip dips. By placing filler in a targeted way we harmonise the transitions from hip to buttock and create more roundness in the upper buttock area for a more feminine silhouette overall.

What side effects can occur when filling hip dips?

As with all injections, slight swelling, redness or small bruises can temporarily occur at the injection sites. These usually subside within 1–2 days. As hyaluronic acid is a substance the body produces itself, allergic reactions are extremely rare. The treatment is also fully reversible – the filler can be dissolved with Hylase if needed.

What do I need to pay attention to after the hip dip treatment?

In the first 24 hours you should avoid intensive exercise and visits to the sauna. For one week we recommend not using a sunbed and avoiding strong exposure to heat. Drink enough water (at least 2 litres a day), as hyaluronic acid binds a lot of water. The final result is visible after about 2 weeks, once slight swelling has completely subsided.

PRP Therapy for Skin & Hair

Procedure, prices and appointments: PRP Therapy for Skin & Hair

What exactly is PRP therapy?

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. A small amount of your own blood is taken and processed in a centrifuge. The plasma obtained is rich in growth factors that stimulate cell regeneration and collagen production. PRP is used for skin rejuvenation and against hair loss.

Who is PRP therapy suitable for?

PRP is suitable for patients who want natural skin rejuvenation, suffer from hair loss or want to improve their skin quality. As it is the body's own material, there are practically no allergy risks. The treatment is suitable for men and women alike.

Is the PRP treatment painful?

The blood draw from the arm is comparable to a normal blood test. For the injections into the skin a numbing cream is applied beforehand, so the treatment is well tolerated. Most patients describe a slight feeling of pressure.

How many PRP sessions are needed?

For optimal results we recommend a series of 3–4 treatments at intervals of 4–6 weeks. After that, maintenance treatments every 6–12 months are enough to maintain the result. For hair loss, more sessions are sometimes advisable.

What does a PRP treatment cost at Alpha Skin?

PRP treatments start €150. The exact price depends on the treatment zone (face, scalp, décolleté) and on whether it is combined with microneedling. In a free consultation we will prepare an individual quote for you.

Can PRP be combined with microneedling?

Yes, combining PRP with microneedling is particularly effective. Microneedling creates fine micro-channels in the skin through which the PRP can penetrate deeper. The growth factors thus reach deeper layers of the skin and the results are clearly enhanced.

What side effects does PRP therapy have?

As PRP is obtained from your own blood, allergic reactions are ruled out. Possible side effects are slight redness, swelling or small bruises at the injection sites, which subside in 1–2 days. You can carry on with your everyday life normally the day after the treatment.

Does PRP really help against hair loss?

Yes, numerous clinical studies demonstrate the effectiveness of PRP in hereditary and diffuse hair loss. The growth factors in PRP reactivate dormant hair follicles, strengthen existing hair and can promote new hair growth. The best results are achieved when active hair follicles are still present.

Botox® Treatment

Procedure, prices and appointments: Botox® Treatment

How long does Botox® last?

The effect of Botox® usually lasts 3–6 months. The exact duration depends on individual factors such as metabolism, facial expressions and dosage. With regular treatments the duration of effect can also become longer.

Is the Botox® treatment painful?

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Usually only a slight prick is felt at the injection. On request a numbing cream can be applied beforehand.

When will I see the first results after Botox®?

First effects appear after just 2–3 days. The full effect develops after about 10–14 days. During this time the muscles gradually relax and the wrinkles smooth out.

Which areas can be treated with Botox®?

Classic treatment areas are forehead lines, frown lines (glabella), crow's feet and bunny lines. The chin, neck and armpits (for hyperhidrosis) can also be treated.

What does a Botox® treatment cost in Bonn?

The cost depends on the number of areas to be treated and the units needed. A single treatment starts €150. In a personal consultation we will prepare an individual quote for you.

Are there side effects with Botox®?

Temporary side effects can be slight redness, small bruises or headaches. These usually subside within a few days. When used correctly, serious side effects are very rare.

From what age does Botox make sense?

There is no fixed age limit. Whether and from when a treatment makes sense depends on your individual facial expressions and skin situation and is clarified in the medical consultation.

Can Botox and hyaluronic acid be combined?

Yes, both treatments can complement each other: botulinum toxin relaxes facial expression muscles, hyaluronic acid can add volume. Whether a combination makes sense for you is discussed in the consultation.

Lip Augmentation

Procedure, prices and appointments: Lip Augmentation

How long does a lip filler treatment last?

A lip filler treatment usually lasts 6–12 months. As the lips move a lot, the material is broken down somewhat faster here than in other areas of the face.

Do the lips look natural after the treatment?

Yes, our aim is a natural, harmonious result that suits your facial proportions. We value subtle improvements that underline your natural beauty.

How much do the lips swell after the treatment?

Slight swelling is normal and expected. The lips are somewhat more swollen straight after the treatment, and after 2–3 days the swelling goes down significantly. The final result can be seen after 2 weeks.

What does lip filler cost in Bonn?

A lip treatment starts €179. Depending on the desired volume and scope of treatment, more material may be needed. We will gladly prepare an individual quote for you.

Can I eat and drink straight after lip augmentation?

Yes, but we recommend being careful in the first hours after the treatment. Avoid hot drinks and food for 24 hours. Drink through a straw to protect the lips.

Does lip filler hurt?

Thanks to a numbing cream the treatment is generally well tolerated. A slight feeling of pressure is normal.

Can lip augmentation be reversed?

Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase if needed. Whether and when that makes sense is clarified medically.

Fillers & Facial Contouring

Procedure, prices and appointments: Fillers & Facial Contouring

How long do hyaluronic acid fillers last?

Depending on the product and the treated area, hyaluronic acid fillers last between 6 and 18 months. Areas with a lot of movement (such as the lips) break the material down faster than areas that move less.

Are filler treatments painful?

Most modern fillers already contain an anaesthetic (lidocaine). In addition, a numbing cream can be applied beforehand. The treatment is therefore perceived as well tolerated.

When will I see the final result after a filler treatment?

The result is visible immediately. The final result shows after about 2 weeks, once any swelling has completely gone down and the material has distributed optimally.

Which areas of the face can be treated with filler?

Fillers are suitable for cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin, jaw, tear troughs, temples and for facial contouring. Volume building and lifting effects are also possible.

What does a filler treatment cost?

The cost starts €199 per syringe. Depending on the scope of treatment and the amount of product used, several syringes may be necessary. We will gladly advise you individually.

Can fillers be dissolved again?

Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed. This is a great advantage over permanent fillers and gives maximum safety.

What is the difference between filler and skin booster?

Fillers are used specifically for volume and contouring, whereas skin boosters improve skin quality from within and provide a natural glow.

Tear Trough Treatment

Procedure, prices and appointments: Tear Trough Treatment

How are dark circles and the tear trough filled?

Dark circles are treated with special hyaluronic acid fillers that fill the tear trough and minimise the shadow. The result is a fresher, more rested look.

How long does tear trough treatment last?

Tear trough filler usually lasts 9–15 months, as this area moves little and the material is broken down more slowly.

Is treating dark circles painful?

The eye area is sensitive, but the treatment is well tolerated. We use fine needles and fillers containing an anaesthetic. A numbing cream can also be applied.

Can bruising occur when filling the tear trough?

Small bruises can occasionally occur in the eye area, but they can be covered well with make-up and disappear within a few days.

What does it cost to fill the tear trough?

Filling the tear trough costs €199. In a consultation we discuss the individual scope of treatment.

Can dark circles disappear completely?

The shadowing can be clearly reduced. With genetically determined, very dark circles complete removal is not always possible, but a visible improvement can usually be achieved.

What risks does filling the tear trough carry?

Slight swelling and small bruises are possible and usually subside after a few days. We discuss other possible risks with you in detail before the treatment.

Can dark circles be filled?

Yes, if the dark circles are caused by a hollow between the lower eyelid and cheek (tear trough). Hyaluronic acid can then soften the shadow. For dark circles caused by pigment or visible blood vessels the effect is limited. Whether a filler is suitable for you is clarified medically in the consultation.

Skin Booster

Procedure, prices and appointments: Skin Booster

What is a skin booster treatment?

Skin boosters are very thin hyaluronic acid products that are introduced into the skin to hydrate it from within. They improve skin quality, firmness and radiance.

How often does the skin booster treatment need to be repeated?

For optimal results we recommend initially 2–3 treatments at 4-week intervals. After that a refresher every 6–9 months is enough.

Who is a skin booster suitable for?

Ideal for everyone who wants to improve their skin quality. Particularly recommended for dry, tired skin, fine lines or after sun and environmental damage.

What does a skin booster treatment cost?

A treatment costs €199. We also offer packages with several sessions on reduced terms.

Is the skin booster treatment painful?

The treatment is well tolerated thanks to numbing cream. Most patients describe only a slight feeling of pressure.

What is the difference between skin booster and filler?

Fillers are used for volume building and contouring (e.g. lips, cheeks). Skin boosters serve to improve skin quality through deep hydration – without a visible volume effect.

When will I see results after a skin booster?

First changes often show after a few days. For a more pronounced result several sessions are usually recommended.

Skin booster experiences: what will I feel during and after the treatment?

Most patients describe only a slight feeling of pressure when the product is introduced. Straight afterwards, small areas of redness or bumps at the injection sites are possible, which usually subside quickly. First changes often show after a few days, a more pronounced result usually after several sessions.

Microneedling

Procedure, prices and appointments: Microneedling

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment in which fine needles create controlled micro-channels in the skin. This stimulates the body's own collagen and elastin production and leads to a visible improvement in skin structure.

How does a microneedling treatment work?

After thorough cleansing a numbing cream is optionally applied. Microneedling is then carried out with a state-of-the-art device. Finally, soothing active-ingredient serums are applied. The treatment takes about 30–45 minutes.

What improvements can I expect from microneedling?

Microneedling visibly improves the appearance of pores, reduces fine lines and scars, softens pigmentation disorders and increases the moisture balance. The skin looks firmer and more even and gets a natural glow.

How many microneedling treatments are recommended?

For optimal results we recommend 3–4 treatments at intervals of 4–6 weeks. The effect is cumulative and builds up with every session. Maintenance treatments make sense about every 6 months.

Is there downtime after microneedling?

Downtime is minimal. Straight after the treatment the skin is slightly red, similar to after an intense sunbath. This redness usually subsides within 24–48 hours. You are presentable again the very next day.

Can microneedling help with acne scars?

Microneedling can improve the appearance of acne scars: the stimulated collagen formation supports the gradual remodelling of scar tissue. Usually several sessions are needed; the extent of improvement varies from person to person.

What does microneedling cost in Bonn?

Microneedling starts €150. A series of 3–4 treatments at intervals of 4–6 weeks is usually recommended. We discuss the exact scope and cost beforehand in the consultation.

Procedure, prices and appointments: Hylase

What is hyaluronidase?

Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that can dissolve hyaluronic acid in a targeted way. It is used to correct unwanted hyaluronic acid fillers or to treat complications.

When is hyaluronidase used?

Hyaluronidase is used when the result of a hyaluronic acid treatment needs to be corrected, in cases of overcorrection, uneven distribution or vascular complications.

How quickly does hyaluronidase work?

Hyaluronidase works very quickly. The dissolving of the hyaluronic acid begins within minutes to hours. The final result is visible after 24–48 hours.

Is treatment with hyaluronidase painful?

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Slight swelling or redness can occur, which subside again after a short time.

Can hyaluronic acid be injected again after hyaluronidase?

Yes, once the old hyaluronic acid has been completely dissolved, a new treatment can be carried out after about 2–4 weeks.

Anti-Sweat (Hyperhidrosis) Treatment with Botox®

Procedure, prices and appointments: Anti-Sweat (Hyperhidrosis) Treatment with Botox®

How does Botox® work against excessive sweating?

Botox® blocks the nerve impulses to the sweat glands and can thus reduce sweat production by up to 80–90% in clinical studies. The treatment is very effective and long-lasting.

How long does the effect last in hyperhidrosis?

The sweat-reducing effect usually lasts 6–12 months. Many patients report an effect lasting 9–10 months before a refresher is necessary.

Which areas can be treated for hyperhidrosis?

The armpits are treated most often. Hands, feet and the forehead can also be treated successfully for excessive sweating.

What risks does treatment against sweating with botulinum toxin carry?

Botulinum toxin has been used against heavy sweating for many years and is expressly approved for the armpits. It acts only where it is injected; the body's temperature regulation remains intact. Possible are small bruises at the injection sites and, in the hands, slightly less strength in the fingers for a few weeks. The physician informs you about risks and contraindications before the treatment.

What does a hyperhidrosis treatment cost?

The cost of an armpit treatment starts €350. The exact cost depends on the treated area and the amount needed.

Is the anti-sweat treatment painful?

The injections are well tolerated thanks to fine needles. For sensitive areas such as the hands, local anaesthesia can be used.

Does health insurance cover the costs?

For diagnosed hyperhidrosis some private health insurers cover the costs. Statutory insurers generally do not reimburse. We will gladly issue you an invoice for your insurer.

Lipolysis / Fat-Dissolving Injection

Procedure, prices and appointments: Lipolysis / Fat-Dissolving Injection

Which areas is lipolysis suitable for?

Ideal for smaller fat deposits such as double chin, chin-neck area, love handles, saddlebags or upper-arm fat. Not suitable for large-scale fat reduction.

How many lipolysis treatments are necessary?

As a rule 2–4 treatments at intervals of 4–6 weeks are necessary. The exact number depends on the size of the area and the amount of fatty tissue.

When will I see results after the fat-dissolving injection?

First results show after 3–4 weeks. The final result is visible after all treatments have been completed and about 8–12 weeks after the last session.

What does a fat-dissolving injection cost?

The cost starts €199 per treatment. The exact price depends on the treatment area and the amount needed.

Is the fat-dissolving injection permanent?

Treated fat cells are broken down, so the result can last in the long term. With significant weight gain, however, remaining fat cells can grow larger. How strong the effect is varies from person to person.

Who is lipolysis not suitable for?

The treatment is not suitable in cases of severe overweight, pregnancy, breastfeeding or certain pre-existing conditions. We clarify suitability in the consultation.
